Nico, such a beautiful and unique name for our new grandson. Having raised four children and now being Gramma to this precious bundle along with our four other treasures I know that as the time passes we will see all of Nico's uniqueness shine as well.
Little man, you took a few extra days to make your appearance but when you decided to come you came fast and furious. When I look at this picture of you lying so peacefully, just a few hours after those forceps pulled you into the bright lights and busy room, it seems impossible that you just arrived. You remind me so much of your big brother yet in your face is a look that is all your own.
Nico, you have been born into a family who couldn't wait to meet you. We love you completely and unconditionally. We will have your back when you need us and we will stand aside and honour your independence when you need us to as well. We will clap and cheer as you mark each milestone along the way.
Your big brother and your cousins will all teach you how to run, jump, holler, tease and maybe even read a book or two. They will teach you what it's like to have a whole bunch of people love you and. you will feel so lucky (most days) to have them by your side. We can't wait to see you all together.
Of course we are curious about who you will become but we know that your mommy, daddy and brother will guide you carefully and love you unconditionally. Oh Nico Watson Uchida, our love for you is overflowing and we just want to say WE LOVE YOU!
